I haven’t updated this in over half a year? Waoooo~ D:
Not that I ever really had anything interesting to say, but oh well, right?
You may or may not have noticed that I’ve recently deleted over half of the stuff I had on this account because it just honestly wasn’t worth it, and it wasn’t something I wanted to keep because I never really liked it in the first place. XD I’ve kept my fan fiction, some pictures from vacation and our ranch, and I think that’s just about it. I am going to be uploading some more stuff today, though – pictures in fact. If you know me or then this one’ll be a real shocker to ya. D: You wait and see. *Creepy music queues*
Did everyone have a good Halloween? : D I hope so, I know Reese and I did~
I don’t know if I ever mentioned this before because I know when I last updated my journal we had already been planning to do this, but I just don’t know if I ever said so – Reese, me, and my cousin were all planning to (and did!) dress up as Sweeney Todd, Mrs. Lovett, and Lucy Barker respectively. So we finally convinced mom about a month or two ago to make our costumes for us under the condition that we’d be willing to pay for all of the material costs; she just had to make them. XD Score! Our costumes are really cool and you’re gonna be jealous and you know it. D: Mommy’s good at making costumes. *Bows at her feet*
So anyway – we went to the Connover Mystery Ranch in Hollister, CA last night with our mom and Lucy’s mom (our aunt XD) for our yearly Halloween fix. That was really funny – except for the fact that they didn’t allow hats or masks or hoods, so Lucy had to remove her bonnet from her costume. Boo hoo. ]: And I thought their cornfield was going to be muddy because of the rain, so I had to change from my three-and-a-half inch sexy high heeled boots to my considerably shorter riding boots only to find that when we actually got into the corn maze… it was, in fact, bone dry and I was 2 inches shorter for no reason. |:
But before the corn maze! We went through one of the other haunts which was supposed to be like… a run down barn house/junkyard/old schoolhouse/much tinier corn maze. XD Basically with flashy lights and fog and people jumping out and trying to scare you. To no avail, of course – Ben(Reese) and I were like, “Yo.” XD
And the best part about that is, before you actually go in to the little obstacle course of sorts, they have some people outside the entrance in costume, walking around trying to scare you and stuff, too. And this one guy comes up to us and is just staring and we’re like, “Can we help you? c:” And he’s like, “Who are you suppose to be?” which I find… really funny. Because every time we do something like this the actors try and scare everyone else shitless and then come up to our group and are like, “Who’re you dressed as? : D *Socializes*”
And anyway, after I said (he was talking to me and Mom) I was Mrs. Lovett he’s like, “… oh, really… hold on.” and he walked off and came back with two of the other actors and goes, “Guess who they are.” XD It was funny. And one of the other actors that he brought back was apparently a big fan of Sweeney Todd and didn’t even bother trying to sound creepy anymore and she just went, “These are SO my new favorite costumes of the night – that sucks that they didn’t let you take your bonnet.” and we talked about… Sweeney Todd. And the people behind us and in front of us were like, “|: *Shakes head* *Thought they were supposed to be trying to scare us*”
So, yeah~ And then until we got to go in the original guy who asked us who we were just kind of drifted around our group and… smelled Lucy and I. XD … but the dress I was in was the one in the final scene, so it was off the shoulder and with an open back. |: And he kept like… breathing on my neck and dragging his fingers on my back and shoulders. |: And petting my hair. XD So I just looked over my shoulder and went, “Fresh.” which I don’t think he got because… who does anymore? XD
And Sweeney was like, “|:” and mom goes, “You know that’s Sweeney’s girlfriend, right?”
Me, “Yes – I’m taken.”
“So am I. ;D”
“… wonderful.”
And then he proceeded to poke at Ben’s hair because we had the white stripe shocked in, and play with his vest, and bug Lucy. XD
Inside the thing, in the junkyard part, they had a bunch of rundown cars and one chick’s like, “Wanna buy the car?! >: D” To which Lucy (who was holding onto me the whole time – she was scaaaared… XD) and I responded, “Sorry, those are ahead of our time. *Keeps walking*” Aaaand… at the school house, there was this chick dressed up like an angry teacher and was yelling at us about late homework and apparently recognized me (or one of the other actors told her we were coming) because she was addressing me by name. XD And Lucy and I paused and were like, “Aren’t I a bit old for school?” And she just brandished her stick at us; but she was laughing. XD And then Ben turned around and waved at the chainsaw murderer at the end of the thing; he just kind of stared at us, after that, apparently.
The corn maze was by far the best. D: All hail Captain Todd! Basically, the thing was HUGE~ and they give you a map where there are 27 different sign posts, each one has a word on it, and you’re supposed to put those words in the numbered spaces in this paragraph at the bottom of the map and… yeah. It’d tell a story. XD
So Mom and Daina (our aunt) were the ones leading us around for the first hour. And they… tried to go in order, 1 2 3, to find the signs…
They maze wasn’t lit, so Lucy in her light pink dress looked very ghostly, and she and I had fun walking past and around lost people in our flowing dresses and smiling at them like we were part of the maze and… several of them actually freaked out. XD

Captain Todd managed to get the map from Mom and successfully navigate us through the whooooole maze for the next 45 minutes to get the remaining… 21 or 22 signs. XD He’s magical, I swear – we didn’t get lost once when he took over. D: D: And like I said, the place was biiiig.
… but, that was about it. Oh well… When we all rendezvoused at our grandmother’s house before we went to Hollister, we got to play in the park and go get Mexican food all in costume, too. So over all our Halloween was really awesome. XD
So anyway… school sucks, as usual – I’m in my second year of high school nao – duh. ]:
